End of Summer

August

I usually have several weeks late in my photos treatments.
This is mainly due to the fact I shoot in RAW mode (This is direct output from the captor; not processed by the camera's processor, like compact cam would do).
This allows me to have more data in the file ; more than our eyes can see. In the end, I can tweak the coldness and the warmth of the photo (so called White Balance). Making the dark zones darker and enlighten the rest (contrast and tones tuning). These are the basics of a bunch of way much more modications I can do.

Yellow shower party

During a photo session I usually shoot more than hundred pics. And it's easy to get lazy afterward. But this result definitely worth waiting the treatments. The pictures care a really added value. People don't realize that shooting is only fifty percent of the work :)

Back to our initial talks. I had some events during this summer I have just finished post-treated.

Here is a little digest of my different galeries:

Some photos take from my bedroom window other the street. Reminds me of the end of august.

Then I went to one of my very good friends wedding in Brittany (west of France, 500km from Paris

September

During our Monthly parisien Flickr meeting, we met some girls in the street while we were jumping together. I gave my contact and offered to do photo session shoot.

My old friend Rico, I hadn't seen for 4 years visited me. We add little visitin Paris center and also tried a Tilt Shift lens. This is a 1200€ lens (ouch!) that allows you to play with the depth of field. I'm not really interested to buy one, but I wanted to try. This so rare (also because of the price), that it's not easy to find one to try.

Ariba riba

A friendly mexican coworker brought me into the Parisien's mexican national day party. This was a low light, really hard photo conditions...

Last warm rays

This last 2008 summer weekend was warm and sunny. I had my friend Pat's visit. In France was "Les journées du patrimoine". All administrative and public installations are opened. We visited the "St. Pierre de Montrouge Church" near Place d'Alésia which is opened all year though. But after we visited a bus depot. This was really interesting to se this huge place and be able to talk with the drivers.

We also had fun with my wide angle in the metro. Cool effects

On sunday, I could wear a tshirt and shorts. This was a great day. My friend same, a great skater did a photosession with me, desguised as clown.
